Krishna’s Last Journey is a contemplative performance drawn from excerpts of Bhawana Somaaya’s Krishna – The God Who Lived as Man and Yagnaseni by Pratibha Ray, reimagined and woven into a new script by Geetha Ramanujam. The work envisions Krishna not as the distant divine, but as a profoundly human presence—walking through the emotional landscapes of his life, relationships, and eventual departure. The performance traces his journey in essence, from birth to his final moments, focusing on the inner life of a man who carried the weight of destiny while remaining deeply connected to human bonds. Through his relationships with four significant women, the narrative explores themes of love, responsibility, choice, sacrifice, and solitude. Krishna emerges as a Human Avatar—one who guides others
