Meera, a 23-year-old homemaker in lower-middle-class Delhi household, finds joy in the small rituals of married life like the nightwear her husband Hitesh buys her every payday. To Hitesh, 27, it`s his way of keeping romance alive. But when Meera voices her own hopes for a better future, Hitesh`s fragile masculinity and insecurity are shaken. What begins as silent discomfort soon spills into control, especially over how Meera dresses and expresses herself. Pehli Tareekh traces the unspoken power struggle simmering within a home that appears ordinary, but is on the brink of transformation. Will Meera find the courage to reclaim her space and identity? Duration: 23 minutes Language: Hindi/English Director: Richa Nanda Achar- Vichar: Synopsis- In "Achar/Vichar," we follow the touching journey of a sensitive Muslim man who unknowingly becomes the centre of a political conspiracy. Tormented by his loneliness and the memory of his late mother, he documents her life on camera and finds solace in preserving her legacy through the art of pickle making. However, when a political party attempts to frame him as a sleeper cell, his world spirals into turmoil. Blending human emotions with socio-political tension, the film explores the resilience of human connections and the enduring strength found in the fragile bond between mother and son. She steps in and debates with him about how he shouldn’t be upset about her being out late at night but understands his perspective too in the process. She then goes back home to apologise and reconcile with her dad. The supervisor also understands his daughter’s situation better through this chance encounter.
