KCC, in collaboration with Sangeet Ashram, presents Guru Pranam – Sarod Sandhya with Basant Kabra. Marking the birth centenary of Guru Annapurna Devi and the spirit of Guru Purnima, the evening celebrates the meditative depth and rich musical legacy of the Maihar-Senia gharana through a recital by acclaimed sarod exponent Basant Kabra. A disciple of Pt. Damodarlal Kabra and the legendary Annapurna Devi, his music is known for its introspective quality, melodic clarity, and deep grounding in the dhrupad-gayaki tradition. Joining him on tabla is Indranil Mallick of the Lucknow gharana, celebrated for his nuanced rhythmic artistry.
